Want to be a Swipe & Shoot pro? Here are some tips from the creators.

Basic
Right Hand Advantage
The oldest trick there ever was, simply hide behind the edge of a wall or tree and angle yourself so that your right side (the side with your weapon) is out. This gives you the best protection in one on one combat and can help you if you need to heal in a pinch.

Dodging Enemies
Not really a trick, but just remember a few things. Rockets are slower than ordinary bullets, so never swipe into an RPG enemy, but remember to dodge back and forth to avoid those annoying rockets. Same goes for the snipers. If you've played the original Level 8, you know that snipers are usually pretty far away, but their bullets are deadly. Be sure to move just a little bit whenever that laser turns green, and you should be able to safely avoid death. And if you're faced with a gatling gun enemy, you have to stay on the move. Circle them if you can and take them out from behind. It's the only way.

Turn Speeds
Weapons like the RPG and Gatling Gun may seem powerful, but beware their slow turn speeds. You may not notice it (unless you have a gatling gun), but many weapons take slightly longer to turn towards their target, which can mean life or death in a high level game. Not that there are a lot of high level games yet…

Vehicle
Bailing
If you want to be a Swipe & Shoot pro, you need to know when your vehicle will explode on you, especially your motorcycle. Sometimes, you have to anticipate it when you get stuck behind a rock or a sandbag. Vehicles are often the fastest way to get kills, but remember that you aren't invincible, and be sure jump out right before it explodes. Quick reflexes save lives in this game.
Another way to use your swipe to your advantage is to get out of your vehicle as you fly off a ramp. This is crucial for getting some of those long jumps, or if you're just in a tough situation and need to get out of there. Your velocity is generally maintained from your vehicle, so use that to your advantage when you swipe off.

Spinning
When you're riding along on your motorcycle and get stuck on one of those roof ledges or sandbags, chances are you'll be stuck. And if you've got enemies chasing you around, you'll probably die trying to get out. But if you're a pro, you know that there's another way. By quickly spinning your character, you can free yourself from the ledge and keep going.
